Experience is vital when you are on the hunt for your dream job, but how do you get the experience required for these positions? We’ve got you covered. Most of our diploma programs come with a field placement so that you can get the working experience you need to qualify for those opportunities.
When you enroll in a diploma program at Eastern College, a dedicated Employment Specialist is assigned to you. Your Employment Specialist will work with you throughout the program to prepare you for the employment process, as you set out to find and complete your field placement.
During field placement time, your Employment Specialist will welcome you to field placement orientation, which is a presentation to get you ready for your upcoming placement. You will discuss what a field placement is, what you can expect from the process, and how to prepare to successfully complete your field placement.
Our Employment Specialists are there for you during your field placement and are available to answer any questions you may have. They will assist you with securing your host, and will provide you with all of the necessary information for that host so that you may begin your placement.
Once your field placement Orientation is complete, your Employment Specialist will book a one-on-one meeting with you to discuss the documentation required, as well as your preferred employers.
Your Employment Specialist will meet with you soon after successfully completing your field placement to review the employer evaluation and discuss your future plans. A separate appointment will be made so that you and your Employment Specialist may begin the process of finding you your dream job!
At Eastern, your success is our success. That is why our Career Services department is here for you from day one, right up until you are happily employed and throughout your entire career.
