Internships
Gaining experience is crucial when pursuing your dream job, but how do you acquire the experience necessary for those coveted positions? We’re here to help! Most of our diploma programs include a field placement component, giving you the real-world experience you need to qualify for exciting opportunities.
When you enroll in a diploma program at Eastern College, you’ll be paired with a dedicated Employment Specialist who will guide you throughout your journey. From the moment you start, your Employment Specialist will work closely with you to prepare for the employment process and help you find and secure your field placement.
As you approach your field placement, you’ll participate in a comprehensive orientation led by your Employment Specialist. This session will equip you with essential insights about what to expect from your placement, how to navigate the process, and tips for successfully completing your experience.
Throughout your field placement, your Employment Specialist will be your go-to resource, ready to answer any questions and support you every step of the way. They’ll assist you in securing your placement and provide all the necessary information to ensure a smooth transition into this exciting phase of your career development.

Once you complete your field placement orientation, your Employment Specialist will schedule a personalized one-on-one meeting with you. Together, you’ll discuss the necessary documentation and explore your preferred employers to ensure you’re set up for success.
After you successfully finish your field placement, your Employment Specialist will connect with you again to review your employer evaluation and chat about your future career aspirations. You’ll have a dedicated appointment to kickstart the exciting journey of finding your dream job! Your Employment Specialist will be there to support you every step of the way as you embark on this next chapter of your professional journey.
